"Izzy!" Felix took a couple of steps forward and stood right in front of her.
Tears fell down her cheeks at the sound of his voice saying her name. "But you're dead," she said in disbelief.
"No, I'm not. I'm right here, Iz." Izzy jumped into his outstretched arms. "I promised you I'd come back to you, didn't I?"
"Oh, Felix," she hugged him tightly taking in the fact that he was actually there, and that she wasn't dreaming him up.
With his arms still around her, Felix pulled back to look into her eyes. "Izzy, it wasn't me that was killed; it was Elbert."
"Elbert? We never heard about Elbert?"
"That's because they got us confused somehow. I don't know how, and I don't care. I'm just glad I'm home."
"If it wasn't you, how come you never got a hold of me? How come you never let me know you were okay?"
"I was injured. In fact I was unconscious for a while. I was shipped back to Toronto to be taken care of. After I woke up I couldn't remember much at first. Things gradually came back to me. Especially when Arthur and Morgan found me. I'm injury-free and back to my normal self now," Felix explained. He continued on, "I never stopped loving you, Izzy. I'm back for good."
"I never stopped loving you either," she hugged him again. "I missed you so much."
Felix put his finger under Izzy's chin and lifted her face towards him. "You'll never have to miss me again." He leaned forward to kiss the woman he loved.
They broke apart at the sound of Arthur clearing his throat. "Are you going to stand here all day?"
"Oh, no, of course not. Get your things. I parked Muriel's car over there." Izzy pointed in the direction of the automobile and started toward it.
"You drive?" Morgan looked surprised.
"I have learned a few things since you've been gone, Morgan."
"Think we'll get home alive?" Arthur whispered to Morgan.
"I heard that," Izzy called back to them. "You coming or are you going to walk?"
"We're coming." Felix looked over at the Pettibone brothers and shrugged. "She can't be that bad."
