Dear Felix,You are a proud uncle of a strapping boy and a beautiful girl! As you can tell, yesterday Felicity had her babies! And I helped deliver them! It was so exciting! The babies' names are Danny Andrew Pike and Victoria Eliza Pike.
I can't describe it in words how much I miss you! When do you think that you will come back? I will write more to you later. I love you!
Yours truly,
Izzy
The reason why I had to write Felix later is because I've joined the Women's Suffrage Movement. I think that women should have the right to vote! The chairwoman of the Women's Suffrage Movement in P.E.I. is Mrs. Becky Keith! (Yes, Becky Lester did marry Davey Keith!)
After I had finished campaigning in Summerside, I went by the Pike house and checked on Felicity and the twins. Gus said that Felicity was sleeping and I told him that I would come back tomorrow.
When I got to my house there was a telegram for me. It was from father, it said:
Dearest Izzy,I have heard that Felix left for a few months so instead of waiting idly in Avonlea, Muriel thought that we should invite you to stay for three weeks. Please reply quickly.
With Love,
Your Father
I quickly replied to my father and told him that I would be there the following Tuesday. When I got home I wrote Felix another letter, because I had already sent the one that I previously wrote to him earlier today. I wrote:
Dear Felix,I'm sorry that this is my second letter for today, but I have something else to tell you. Father and Muriel have invited me to their house for three weeks. If you return home before I do please come and get me! Because I cannot wait for the day until you return. I will love you always!
Yours truly,
Izzy
That night when I went to bed I thought to myself, I wonder what Felix is doing in England right now, and if Adeline was TRYING to meddle with Felix's mind. Then I thought, No, Izzy Pettibone! Felix is the most faithful man in the world. Don't worry; he'll return to you safe and sound. Then I went into a beautiful slumber.

Well, today I'm heading to Halifax. I will spend the whole day on a boat. Good thing that I don't get sea sick that easily. Felicity told me what had happened to Miss King when they went looking for Gus. But I brought along some books to keep me sane during the journey. Let's see...I've brought Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, poems by Robert Frost, and a poem by a new writer; her name is Sara Teasdale. Her poem, "The Look" is beautiful. Here; I'll quote it for you:
The Look, by Sara Teasdale
Strephon kissed me in the spring,
Robin in the fall,
But Colin only looked at me,
And never kissed at all.
Strephon's kiss was lost in jest,
Robin's lost in play,
But the kiss in Colin's eyes
Haunts me night and day.
See how beautiful it is? Felix, although we have kissed many times when I look into his beautiful blue eyes, I forget every thing around us.
When I got in Halifax, Muriel and Father was waiting for me. On the way home they asked me had I heard from Felix, if we had set our second wedding date, how things were in Avonlea. Things like that. I told them that I helped deliver Felicity's second baby and that I delivered the first on all by myself and Father replied, "Good, Izzy. Now I have something to tell you. Someone is coming tomorrow afternoon to visit you. Now I expect you to be on your best behavior."
Muriel cut in, "Clive, Izzy's always been on her best behavior."
"Thank you, Muriel; and Father, I will try my best to please you in front of this very important guest," I replied.
When I got to Fathers house it was around 10:00 so I decided to turn in. "Good-night Father, Good-night Muriel!" I said.
They both replied, "Good-night," and I quickly went to bed. When I got to bed I was thinking to myself, (as you can tell I think a lot) I thought that this visitor might be Felix! Oh I hope that it is! I had a hard time getting to sleep but somehow I dreamed a beautiful dream. Little did I know that the dream would be shattered in the morning.
