Well now I know that it is not gossip, because I went over to my old house today with Felix, Cecily and Joseph. They were helping me fix the house up. {Father still owns the house.} Since I'm staying there for the rest of the summer and part of the fall, Father told me to stay in the house instead of staying in a small room at the boarding house.
We had just finished painting, so Joseph decided to walk Cecily to the King farm. After they left Felix and I started to clean up. While we were cleaning up, Adeline and Velma decided to put a bucket of cow manure on the door, so when someone came through the bucket would fall on top of them {probably me}. Felix went out the door and the bucket didn't fall. Then I went out the same door and it still didn't fall. {At the time, we had no idea that there was a bucket of cow manure above our heads.}
Well Adeline and Velma went to go see why the bucket wasn't falling, so they jerked open the door {I guess they were frustrated} and the bucket fell on top of them!! This all happened right in front of Felix and I. Needless to say Felix and I were laughing so hard we were rolling on the ground. {Well...not really. All we did was crack up.} All that they said was, "Izzy Pettibone we're going to get you for this."
Felix said that if they gave me any trouble that he would defend me. I'm so glad that I have him for a beau. I just hope that Adeline and Velma play any tricks Friday night. I want it to be romantic for Felix and I.

I have 2 more days until the dance!
Cecily and I went into the General store to get myself some things for my hair and some material for a dress. {Not the one for the dance.} We saw Adeline and Velma there. We said "Hi" but they just ignored us.
We also saw Felicity and Gus at the general store. {Cecily told me later that Gus likes felling the baby kicking in Felicity's stomach.} We asked what they were doing at the general store. Felicity said that she had to get a new material for a dress. {Felicity is getting pretty big! I mean; she's only six months pregnant, but it looks like she's going to have the baby today.}
Gus got a job working at the telegraph at the White Sands. "Since I did it at war, I might as well do it here," he told us.
Felicity and Gus had to leave because Felicity had a doctor's appointment and Gus had to go to work. So they said their good-byes and left. We also saw Dora at the general store. Cecily and I asked her if she would like to join us in Charlottetown. She had to turn us down because she had other plans. But I'm just glad that Cecily is coming with me to Charlottetown tomorrow.
I didn't see Felix at all today because worked an extra shift at the White Sands just so he could have the night of the dance off. The things he will do for me. He's the sweetest!
