Dear Felix,
I'm so glad that you are writing to me. I haven't made many friends since I've been in Halifax. I do miss you so! I'm coming to Avonlea for a visit. I will be there in the next few weeks. I hope that every thing is fine at your house!Yours truly,
Isolde Pettibone.{Izzy}
Dear Iz,
I'm so glad that you're coming home for a while. Ever since you moved I have been lonely. I hope that we can spend some time together. Would you like to go to the White Sands with me when you get back? Mr. Tremayne said the week that you come back is the week that the spring ball is. I hope you will say yes.Yours Truly,
FelixP.S. I hope that you don't mind if I call you Iz.
Dear Felix,
Yes, you may take me to the ball. No, I do not mind if you call me Iz. Will you ask Cecily if she has the hat that Aunt Lillian gave me? I would appreciate it!Yours Truly,
Izzy
Dear Iz,
Thank you for saying yes. I could not wait for your reply.Yes, I did ask Cecily whether she had your hat or not. She said that your hat was on a shelf in her closet. Nothing much is happening here except that Cecily is courting a young man and Felicity and Gus are having a baby {not Gus, Felicity}. That's all I have to say!
Yours Truly,
Felix
Dear Felix,
Is Felicity really having a baby? I'm so excited!Since It's so close to the day that I'm leaving; this will be my last note to you. {But you can always send your reply.} Tell Felicity that the blanket enclosed is for the baby. When it is it going to be born?
Yours Truly,
Izzy
Dear Iz,
Felicity said thank you for the blanket. Gus also said thank you.Mother said that when you are here that we can take the canoe and go a few times around the lake. Felicity said that the baby would be born around September. I'll see you tomorrow!
Yours Truly,
FelixP.S. By the time you get this it will be the day before you leave.

By the time I got off the train Cecily was giving me hugs, Felix was getting my luggage and Dora Keith was asking questions about life in Halifax. After we got to the boarding houseFelix had finished brining up my luggage. Cecily had stopped talking about Joseph {her Beau}, and Dora said that Ms. King wanted her home early.
So Cecily decided to leave Felix and I alone to catch up on some things. Well Felix and I were finally alone. I had waited for this moment ever since I had gotten off of the train: a private moment when it was only the two of us. Felix asked me the usual questions how life was in Halifax; He also asked how Father, Arthur, and Muriel were doing. {He didn't ask about Morgan because he knew that he had died at war.} Then he finally gave me a friendly hug and said how much he missed being with me. He said he had to leave, but before he left he gave me a kiss! It was like the one I gave him at the train station, but this time I felt a deep sense of love.
He had to go to work, but in his good-bye, he lingered. He was walking really slow. He even tripped over my luggage. He told me the dance was on Friday night, and he was going to pick me up about 6:15. He wanted us to leave early so we would miss the rush of people trying to get to our table. Well it was Tuesday so I had plenty of time to get ready. When I saw him drive away I thought to myself, Izzy Pettibone, that is the man you're going to marry someday.
