More than in years past, 2007 was a huge year for not only Anne and RTA alumni, it was also a big year for fans as well, particularly for fans of Anne.

Molly works the summer

Molly Atkinson Molly Atkinson will be on-stage in Toronto this summer during the Summerworks Festival.

She will be in the play Mexico City, which is being mounted alongside another one, Yogyakarta. In the former, her character forms a “first-world romance” with another man, played by Brendan Gail, against the backdrop of a Mexico City slum. The play may be seen from August 3-11 at the Tarragon Theatre’s extra space. Tickets may be purchased online via totix.ca

Summerworks itself runs from August 2-12 at various venues throughout the city.

Hear Molly on Myspace

Molly Atkinson As some readers of shellysavonlea.net may know, Molly Atkinson has fronted a jazz trio for some time. Yet, there was no way for us fans to hear her sing…

Until now.

A month and a half ago, she set up a Myspace page, and added demos of singing various jazz standards (one song is “Over the Rainbow” from The Wizard of Oz). To visit her page there, click on the link below.
