Booky makes a mark abroad

Megan FollowsLally CadeauShaftesbury Pictures has announced they’ve sold the telefilm Booky Makes Her Mark–about a young aspiring writer in 1930s Toronto–to various stations in Europe and the Middle East. Eventually, Sky TV in the UK, Reshet-TV in Israel, Netherlands Public Broadcasting, and Ireland’s TV3 will air it. Shaftesbury hopes to make more sales to other countries at the upcoming MIPTV.

The film features Megan Follows as Booky’s mother and Lally Cadeau as Lucy Maud Montgomery. It aired in Canada back in December 2006 to a small audience of over 300,000.

    I taped it when it aired on CBC but I’ve yet to watch it for myself.
